Streaming Audio Connections
Five different types of audio streams are available for listening To Lead Me To The Rock Radio; 24K aac+ and 32K Windows Media for Dial-up users, 64K mp3 and 128K mp3, and a recently added 64K Windows Media stream, for Broadband users . The 24k aac+ stream is available only by using the Winamp Media Player or the Orban plug-in for Windows Media Player. To tune in, click the "Listen" button on any Lead Me To The Rock web page. This takes you to the custom launch page. Click on the appropriate connect button for your situation; Broadband or Dial-up and preferred media player. You may also use the embedded Windows Media Player on the page, which runs the Windows Media stream, also known as WMA, in either the 64K or 32K bitrate, depending on whether you are on dial-up or broadband.

AAC+ Streaming Audio
Dial up users may access the 24 kbps stream with the latest version of Winamp Media Player downloadable here. There is also a codec plug-in for Windows Media Player available for aac+ streams from Orban downloadable here. These are absolutely free to download. Please read the instructions in the readme.txt file if you use the Orban plugin for WMP. There are some very explicit instructions to follow for it to work properly for streaming live audio in the aac+ format. Dial-up users may also access the Windows Media Player WMA stream. For broadband users, Lead Me To The Rock Radio should stream on all standard media players, such as RealPlayer, iTunes, Windows Media Player and Winamp.

Media Player Associations
If your computer loads the wrong media player by default, or not load a player at all, even though you select a player that you have installed on your computer, you have a conflict with your media players. To resolve this, go to your media player that may be causing the conflict, navigate to the preferences area and uncheck any boxes marked "MPEG Audio and MP3 Playlists." Once that is done, try connecting again, and it should load the audio stream in the player you selected. You may also need to set the correct associations in your new preferred media player.

Stream Quality
In our humble opinion, the 24K stream sounds nearly as crisp as the 128K stream. The 64K broadband stream has FM quality sound, good for Broadband users that have buffering issues on the 128K stream or for office environments where bandwidth may be an opportunity. The 64K WMA stream sounds better than the 64K standard broadband connection. The quality of the 128K stream is quite good. Are you confused? Try a few choices to see what sounds best and works the best for you. You won't hurt anything on your computer by clicking on the various options.

Other Issues
If you are unable to resolve a connection problem, shoot us an email by going to our Contact page, and use our contact form. We are not technical experts, but we will try our best to help.

Finally, realize at times there may be issues with congestion from the streamserver, power outages and computer crashes that may affect your connection. If you try to connect, and can't, or the audio drops out and you lose your connection, try to re-connect. If you are still unable to connect, or hear nothing, please try back at a later time. We do our best to keep the streams running, but sometimes things occur that are out of our control. Thank you!
